This blog is unabashedly inspired by the beautiful Web site, Quiet American, which I discovered years ago while doing research for my class on Vietnam. I took about an hour's worth of sound vacations that day and have continued to return. Mexico City is a gloriously noisy place. I think the only sound I haven't heard since I moved here is silence. I hope this short sound clips will take you far from where you are, or at least around the corner.
